CHRIS JOHNSON, HORACE GWYNNE, LENNOX LEWIS, EGERTON MARCUS

FOUR MORE AND NOW THERE IS 50: By Brian Zelley

*Day five in the nomination process for the news ONTARIO
AMATEUR BOXING HALL OF FAME gives us four more to
reach the minumum threshold of 50 nominees.

The latest four are boxers with Internationl achievementd across
the decads inccluding Horace "Lefty" Gwynn, Lennox Lewis,
Egerton Marcus and Chris Johnson.

BEYOND THE NOMINATION PROCESS:
*With 50 nominees, it will be a difficult process trying to
select 15 or so names for induction.  The exact number
has not been determined, but as a guideline in 2010
British Columbia settled on 15 our of 50.  Likely, in
hindsight, we could have had more.  But, some of those
not selected in 2010 were picked in 2011 or 2012.  The
same situation is expected for Ontario, some not picked
for a variety of reasons will be logical or expected picks
in 2013 or 2014 along with some not nominated in 2012.

the door.
